Prestigious Diana Award for our Helpline Manager, Charlotte Hooper

We are thrilled to announce that Charlotte Hooper, our esteemed Helpline Manager, has been awarded the prestigious Diana Award!

Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Award is given out by the charity of the same name and has the support of both her sons, HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Sussex. This award is the highest accolade a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts.

Charlotte has a degree in Policing and Criminal Justice and a Masters in Cyber Investigations. She is passionate about making advice accessible for all victims of cybercrime and, as such, volunteered as a Helpline Responder in March 2019 and has subsequently handled a variety of cases and worked on various projects for The Cyber Helpline. Charlotte is now focused on leading our helpline team, driving our service forward and making sure we can scale to meet demand. She was recently shortlisted in the Most Inspiring Women in Cyber Awards.

Charlotte's unwavering commitment to supporting victims of cybercrime through 'The Cyber Helpline' has made her a leader, trainer, and influential advocate in the field. Her personal experience as a cybercrime victim and her belief in empowering victims of crime led her to identify significant support gaps. Instead of joining the police force, Charlotte chose to fill these gaps herself, with advice, guidance, and support, while raising awareness and delivering training globally. Their dedicated efforts have empowered countless victims, made a tangible impact on their lives, and contributed to the growth of 'The Cyber Helpline', ensuring better support for thousands of victims.

We warmly congratulate our new Diana Award recipients from the UK and across the world who are changemakers for their generation. These young people demonstrate that young people have the power to change the world; a belief also held by Diana Princess of Wales. We know by receiving this honour they will inspire more young people to get involved in their communities and begin their own changemaking journey.
