Charity of the Year 2022!

On Monday night The Cyber Helpline was awarded Charity of the Year at The National Cyber Awards! it is the second year in a row we have had the honour of receiving this award and the whole team is delighted at the recognition of the work we do to support victims of cybercrime & online harm.

The National Cyber Awards rewards those who are committed to cyber innovation, cyber crime reduction and protecting citizens online. The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) is the primary sponsor of the annual awards. The awards ceremony took place at London’s Novotel West and the nominees were The Diana Award, The National Museum of Computing, The National Trust and the NSPCC.

Over the last five years The Cyber Helpline has supported over 20,000 victims of cybercrime and is currently opening over 2,000 new cases per month. We have a unique focus on helping individuals who have fallen victim online and helping to understand what has happened, contain the issue, recover and learn from their experience.

Receiving the award this year, especially after receiving it last year, had been a massive boost for our volunteers and team members. The amount of hard work and volunteering hours it has taken to build the charity and to support victims who need our help is immense. To get recognition from the industry like this really helps us take a step back and think about all we have achieved.

A huge thanks to those who nominated us, the judges who see the value in our mission and to all of the volunteers and supporters who make our charity possible.
