Fundraising Assistant (Staff)

Hours: Four hours per week.

Line Manager: CEO

Location: This role is a remote working role.

Pay: £12 per hour.

Role Summary

The Fundraising Assistant will focus on supporting all of our grant funding activity for The Cyber Helpline. This person will be responsible for executing the tactical activities of identifying grant funding opportunities, writing/supporting bids, submitting bids and managing successful bid obligations. This is a key role for The Cyber Helpline and one that ties directly to a priority strategic focus for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

The Fundraising Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Understanding our fundraising strategy and turning this into tactical programmes to be delivered.

  • Supporting the development of our fundraising needs.

  • Identifying new funding sources that we are eligible for and having initial conversations with fund owners on our suitability.

  • Supporting content creation to support our fundraising bids.

  • Writing and project management of fundraising bids.

  • Ensuring commitments from successful fundraising bids are delivered post funding.

  • Keeping our fundraising pipeline and CRM (Salesforce) up to date.

  • Reporting on fundraising KPIs and activity.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Passionate about our mission of supporting victims of cybercrime. 

  • Excellent administration, written communication and organisation skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good with numbers

  • Honesty and integrity

  • Is a self-starter

Preferred

  • Experience in similar role or fundraising initiatives

  • Project Management experience 

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Understanding of the Code of Fundraising Practice
